Hello Folks...!!!
It's been on my mind for a while now to come up with this page so that I could interact with all you guys. Being in this industry where everything is so fast paced, it gets so difficult in keeping touch, and I am going to use this as the medium to interact with you.
So here I am, to show you the real Taapsee!
Memorable childhood....
I grew up in the alleys of Delhi. I have so many fond memories from my childhood I could go on and on talking about them. I was a complete tomboy in school, completely into sports! I used to play football with boys of the neighborhood and especially liked the local game called "Pithu".
I did my schooling in Mata Jai Kaur Public School at Ashok Vihar in Delhi. I was very active in extracurricular activities. Most of my credits came from college events like debates. It was in fourth grade that I took up Kathak and picked it up instantaneously because I love dancing!
I know what you're thinking, and your guess is right, I am a Punjabi Kudi :)
My Teenage....
Through the years, my passion for dancing grew stronger. At GTBIT College, Rajouri Garden, New Delhi, I managed to create my own dance group. At the same time I was also very clear as to what i wanted to do with my career in the near future. I wanted to do MBA, I was placed at Infosys from College, but am I glad that I didn't consider it! I cleared MBA entrance exam with a CAT score of 88! Looking back, I am now glad I didn't score above 90 'coz then I would have joined a B school.
Entering Glam World....
The plans I made for my future changed their course with time, life had something more exciting in store for me! I casually auditioned for Channel V Get Gorgeous and I was selected over numerous models, although I wasn't modeling then. This changed my life; I managed to be among the top ten in Delhi. It was unbelievable that I made it to the top. After this, I got my portfolio done. I still remember what my photographer said to me "You have an advertising face and will do really well". Soon, I was flooded with numerous offers from World Gold council, Coke, Airtel? and the list was endless. It didn't take too long to become a popular face and soon enough I managed to be the face of magazines too.
The next big step in my life was the Pantaloons Femina Miss India auditions. It's every girl's dream and so was mine. I was among the top 28 in the year 2008 and managed to bag Fresh Face and Safi Femina Miss Beautiful Skin titles. At this platform I imbibed as much as I could and soon my efforts bore fruit.
Every step, every success, during those years has made me who I am today! Since then, you guys pretty much know me by the movies that I have been doing. When I got offered the kind of movies I did, I was pretty excited about them and so were my family members. My family of course is a bag hunch of support. They are my pillars of support that stood by my side through thick and thin.

I am not much of a party person but I love hanging out with my friends
I like food, especially roadside, yum!!
My Fashion Statement? Shhhh! It's roadside shopping, you get the best of best stuff! Most of my footwear is from Delhi streets except for the occasional pumps I wear for public appearances.
If I was not an actor, I would not travel as much as I do!
I do explore ways of spending time; I'd like to have a dynamic lifestyle which accommodates exploring exciting new things

I'm a complete foodie and I absolutely love Punjabi food. I'm fond of South Indian food too, but nothing beats Delhi food!
My dad manages my money; believe it or not, I get a fixed pocket money every month!
My friends are a group of similar minded people and we have done crazy, out of the box things like going cycling till India Gate. We love exploring new places in Delhi, even haunted houses! What fun right?
